I-CON 31 Continues The Celebrity Banquet Dinner Tradition

Each year, I-CON hosts a Banquet and Awards Dinner to celebrate the unique achievements of our guests. The banquet is your chance to rub elbows with your favorite stars and guests, bump into renowned authors and thinkers, and connect with other attendees of like mind and interest.

This year's banquet will be held at 7:00pm on Saturday March 31, 2012. Dinner will be buffet-style. We will post the food selections as soon as they are finalized. The banquet will end around 9:00pm, which allows us time to prepare the room for the Masquerade Ball, to be held in the same location at 10:30pm. Attended by over 6,000 people each year, I-CON is a three day festival designed to encourage literacy, creativity, and interest in science and technology through science fiction and its related genres. Programming at I-CON spans a wide range of topics and interests, including science fiction, fantasy, horror, anime, science and technology, comic books, and reenactment.

I-CON (with a hyphen) is presented annually by ICON Science Fiction, Inc. (without a hyphen; hereafter referred to as "ICON") and the I-CON Campus Chapter. ICON is a not-for-profit corporation which is a legal entity separate from New York State and the State University of New York at Stony Brook.
